What is afternoon tea and how much does it cost?

Afternoon Tea is a British tradition that is typically served in the late afternoon. It consists of finger sandwiches, scones with jam and/or clotted cream, and sweet pastries.

Here at Sarah's Southern Tea Room, we are adding a Southern twist to the traditional Afternoon Tea experience with our recipes.

The cost to enjoy Afternoon Tea is $35.99 + tax for ages 10 up. For ages 9 and under, the cost is $20+ tax.

Does there have to be a special occasion for me to have Afternoon Tea?

You don’t need a special occasion to enjoy our afternoon tea—sometimes, the best reason is no reason at all. Whether you're catching up with friends or simply treating yourself, you're always welcome to join us for a relaxing and delicious experience.

Are reservations required?

Reservations are required for Afternoon Tea and must be reserved at least a day in advance. We offer a Lunch Special during the weekdays from 11am-3pm and there is no reservation required for that. Afternoon Tea can be booked for any time during our hours of 12pm-5pm from Wednesday-Sunday.

Can men partake in Afternoon Tea at Sarah's Southern Tea Room?

Absolutely! We warmly welcome guests of all genders. Our tea room is a space for everyone to relax, enjoy good company, and savor delicious tea and food. Whether you’re joining us for lunch, afternoon tea, or a special celebration, we’re honored to serve you. Gentlemen enjoy it just as much as the ladies!

Do you do parties and/or events? How does it work and what is the cost?

While we are not an event rental facility, we do allow events to be hosted at our location with the utilization of our prix fixe menu. Our location can hold up to 40 guests at one time.

Corporate events can be hosted at our facility or at your office! For booking, please call, text, or email.

For groups of 11 or more, a 20% non-refundable deposit is required. The remaining balance will be due 7 days in advance. If the reservations is made less than 7 days in advance, then the full payment will be required at the time of booking. Please visit our "Book Event" tab to take the first steps to planning your wonderful afternoon tea experience!

For larger kids parties, we do offer a kid's menu tailored to your needs. Please call or text for more information.

What is the attire?

We invite you to dress in your favorite tea-time attire floral dresses, hats, or polished casual wear. But most importantly, come as you are. Whether dressed up or relaxed, you’ll feel right at home in our warm and inviting atmosphere. We pride ourselves on being a warm, family-friendly environment where everyone can enjoy a great meal together. To maintain a comfortable atmosphere for all our guests, we kindly ask that attire be respectful and appropriate. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone not in alignment with these standards. Thank you for understanding!

How do we make Afternoon Tea reservations?

For parties of 10 or less, reservations for Afternoon Tea can be made here.

For parties of 11 or more please complete the event form located here, a 20% non-refundable deposit is required to book. The remaining balance will be due 7 days in advance and if the reservation is made less than 7 days in advance, full payment will be required at the time of booking.

What is the lunch special and what is the cost?

The lunch special consists of your choice of a full-sized savory item or sandwich (based on the current menu), a side salad, and a pot of tea. The cost is $12.99. Dessert from the current Afternoon Tea menu can also be added for an additional $2.99. Lunch specials are available Wednesday - Friday from 11am -3pm for Dine-In or Takeout (while supplies last).

Reservations are not required.

Do you offer Bingo?

Yes! We offer Bingo + lunch on select Thursdays. Bingo + lunch is $20 + tax and no reservation is required. The cost covers your full lunch plus unlimited bingo from 2pm-4pm!

Can I come by for just Bingo?

To keep the fun flowing and the experience special, Bingo is offered exclusively to guests who purchase the full Lunch + Bingo experience. Lunch is an important part of the event — and trust us, you don’t want to miss it! We hope to see you all there!

What kind of tea do you offer?

We offer a variety of Black, Green, Rooibos, Herbal and Fruit teas. We have a current selection of 26 teas to choose from, and our tea menu us always growing.
